Noel Nouvelet/Carol of the Bells

Two familiar christmas carols are combined and contrasted with each other in this arrangement. “Noel Nouvelet” dates from sometime in the 15th century and “Carol of the Bells” was composed in the early 20th century, though based on a pre-existing Ukranian folk chant. While each tune is treated individually, there are moments when both melodies are superimposed on one another, creating a unique composite rhythm.
